Tanzania is one of the most unique destinations on the African continent and is home to some of the world’s greatest natural wonders.

Tanzania is a country with many attractions; about 38% of its territory is devoted to 22 national parks, 17 game reserves, 1 wildlife sanctuary, several marine parks, lake belts and mountainous highlands, a paradise for hikers and birdwatchers.

Tanzania is one of the richest countries in the world when it comes to cultural diversity. From the tall and graceful Maasai warriors, the ancient methods of the Hadza Bushmen who are known for their hunting expertise, the skillful farming practices of the Wameru, the artistic talents of the Makonde, to the famous traders of the Chagga.

Each of the approximately 120 different tribes in Tanzania has a distinctive way of life, but together they combine gracefully to form Tanzania.

More than 120 languages are spoken in the country, mostly from the Bantu language family. The government realized that this was a problem for national unity and consequently made Kiswahili the official national language, with the emphasis that it be used throughout the country as the primary means of communication.
